Two New Resources
Hello Everyone,
SBBIC has not been updated in some time because of Nathan being in the States attending seminary. But we wanted to make you aware of two wonderful resources that have just come out.
The first is the online Khmer dictionary from SEAlang:
http://sealang.net/khmer/
And the second is a new spelling checker for Open Office based on the Chuon Nat dictionary by the Open Forum of Cambodia:
http://www.khmeros.info/drupal/?q=en/node/1941
We hope these resources are helpful to everyone - and we look forward to the future, to continue to work towards providing resources for the production of better books in Cambodia.
New Spelling Checker Version Released!
BETA Version .05 of the OpenOffice Spelling Checker has been released. While it has fewer words than the previous release, all the words have been manually checked and all duplicates have been deleted (before it was just multiple lists merged by a computer). We hope that it is more accurate and that it is useful to you as you work with the Khmer language.

Registration Problem Solved
Over the past few weeks some of you have been unable to register at sbbic.org (a problem with a security measure called "captcha" which requires you to enter in some random letters that appear in an image) - the problem has now been taken care of, so registration should be open again. If you have any problems, feel free to contact us. Thanks to Dave Painter who brought this to our attention.
We're Back!
After a short absence we are back on the web. Our gracious service provider was broken into and hacked, so they needed to take down the site for a while in order to make some repairs. But now we are back up and stronger than ever.
Look for some updates soon!
New Website Design!
Also check out the new Forum and Books section (you should be able to create your own book and translate it if you sign up to become a member of this site).
More features are on their way - keep your eyes open!
